Тhe Statistical study of criminality in Ukraine: a regional aspect

Abstract

In the article is presents a statistical analysis of crime Ukraine in 2013. The relevance of the study justified the changes and reforms of the country in terms of its social structure. Thus, the legal statistics should become a tool of state regulation. The author described the main types of legal statistics and detailed types of criminal statistics. The author analyzes the geographical structure of grave and especially grave crimes, because they pose the greatest threat to society. Analysis of crime in the field of drug trafficking shows that the largest proportion of crimes in the field of drug trafficking was recorded in Donetsk (9,98%), Dnipropetrovsk (9,89%), Crimea (9,12%), Luhansk (8,10%), and Kiev (7.65%). Statistical analysis of geographic patterns of crime for the article, age groups, criminal organizations also proves the highest level of crime in the East and South of the country.
