Financial sustainability of the competitive position of agriculture

Abstract

The article discusses the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations for financial stability competitive position of agriculture. We propose a model which prevents the onset of bankruptcy proceedings of agricultural producers to ensure the competitive position of agriculture. It is proved that the distinctive feature of the model is created, its development in the Ukrainian conditions, taking into account industry classification and level of specialization of agricultural enterprises. It is proved that the resulting model is capable of up to 89.3% informed about the occurrence of the bankruptcy proceedings of agricultural producers in the coming year and up to 92.7% over a two year period. In this case, the presented model is characterized by a high overall predictive accuracy constituting 91.1% of the forecast of state enterprises in the coming year, and 76.8% – in the next two years. Testing functions on different samples will allow businesses to talk about the degree of reliability of the forecast implementation, not only for agriculture Cherkassy region, but also in general in Ukraine.
