Intellectual resource as the platform of economics knowledge in local and regional dimension

Abstract

This article investigates the essence of the concept of «intellectual resource», its content, social form and process of occurrence. The functions of the intellectual capital have been presented. They are informational, cognitive-epistemological, transformative, research, axiological, integrative, regulatory, cultural, educational, practical and protective ones. The classification of intellectual capital has been considered. It is carried out by various characteristics depending on the goals and tasks, such as: the form of ownership, the corporate transaction, the residency, the form of engagement, according to the term of the disposal of an entity, the formation of intellectual capital and the ability to determine the amount of its value. The sources of the concepts of «intellectual capital» and «intellectual resource» have been determined to distinguish the relationship of not codified and industrial codified knowledge, which is used in the industrial production. The intellectual resources in intellectual capital structure of the firm have been considered.
