Problems and prospects of innovative development of Ukraine within globalization transformations

The article is devoted to research of problems and prospects of innovative development of Ukraine within globalization transformations. In economy at different stages various technological ways according to which these or those branches of economy become leaders prevail. Theoretical bases of these technological ways are theories of "long waves". In this regard we considered and analysed the existing classifications of theories of a business cycle and also economic cycles of different duration. Provides analyses of theoretical bases, the basic mechanisms, “principles of Kitchin” cycles lasting 3 – 5 years, “Juglar cycles” lasting 7 – 11 years, “Kuznets cycles” lasting 15 – 25 years, Kondratieff long waves in the frequency range 45 – 60 years. Also analyzed the current state of economy of the state and identified lag problems of Ukraine in the development of the innovation system.
