Features of non-tariff regulation in the global trading system

The paper presents the results of a study of modern features of non-tariff regulation in the global trading system. The main non-tariff measures, which are quite diverse, are looked into. The main reasons and trends of the increasing use of non-tariff measures are identified. The international practice of non-tariff regulation in some countries is studied. The conclusion drawn is that the introduction of non-tariff regulation is significantly affected by the desire to integrate the national economy into the international community while protecting the interests of domestic manufacturers. Due to this, it is advisable to continue the monitoring of non-tariff regulation in order to avoid obstacles on Ukrainian goods’ path to the international markets, as well as to reduce the practice of granting an exclusive right of export and / or import of certain kinds in violation of the competitive position on the market; to avoid restricting the movement of goodsReferences
