The present state and development prospects of electronic money

The article deals with analysis of E-money in some countries of the European Union, Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). It has been found that Asian countries occupy the key positions by number and amount of e-money transactions. The main trends in the development of payment systems on the Internet were determined and their importance level was examined. The impact of education level and information society development on e-money market was analyzed as well as the role of e-commerce for e-money’s growth was outlined. The forecast for the further e-money market development was conducted. The trends and prospects for further research have been identified.References
