Social Capital : the Approaches to Study

Based on the analysis of sources conducted in the article, there have been revealed many approaches to research on social capital concept. The main research approaches are : Communitarian, Networks, Institutional, and Synergy. It was ascertained that the existence of diversity in the approaches is due to the area research in specific science in which this category is subject to analyze. It was determined that the most appropriate and relevant approach to the study of social capital as an economic category is Institutional approach.
